The Position:
Responsible for directing the organization’s accounting function. This includes establishing and monitoring a sound internal control environment, providing timely and accurate financial reporting, safeguarding company assets, ensuring informative cost or management accounting, preparing annual budgets, and oversight over accounts payable, treasury and payroll.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree and 8-10+ years of direct experience in the field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Ability to communicate effectively in small and large group settings. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and ERP software (preferably NetSuite). Solid understanding of GAAP standards, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will be preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Foreign language is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manages month-end close process, journals, account reconciliations and related tasks
- Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management.
- Maintain inventory item records, including cost accounting, and oversee inventory counts/adjustments
- Manage treasury operations of both domestic and foreign bank accounts, including assisting with credit compliance reporting
- Maintain proper internal controls, policies and procedures
- Facilitates annual budgeting process
- Oversee accounts payable and general ledger accounting, review payroll
- Support external accounting firm in their preparation of the federal and state income tax returns and coordinate the activities of the external auditors
- Leads and directs accounting/finance personnel (2-3 direct reports)
- Any duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the CFO
