Industrial wastewater treatment environments can include pulp & paper, oil & gas, and other harsh chemical environments (automotive plants, producers of plastic packaging, etc.). A common denominator is that the wastewaters from these industries often have nutrient deficiencies that impede natural bioremediation. 

Pulp & Paper processors don’t have the seasonal variations that municipal wastewater treatment facilities face. However, their wastewater can also become upset quickly when large amounts of fiber waste are sent through too quickly.
